1. The Box
College student Albert Cross loves puzzles, so when a mysterious wooden box appears in the driver’s seat of his locked car with cryptic messages carved into it, it is no surprise that he quickly becomes obsessed. And when his lab partner, Brandy, unexpectedly turns up in possession of the box’s key, he finds himself with an opportunity to not only solve an exquisite mystery, but to do so with someone he very much wishes to impress. But the secret of the box is far greater than either of them suspect. Soon, they uncover a map that leads them deep underground, into the city’s vast and complex subterranean system, where the miles upon miles of service tunnels and drainage pipes are long rumored to be haunted. Here, far below the streets, Albert and Brandy discover an ancient and very deadly labyrinth, hidden for ages deep beneath the earth. Together, they encounter strange statues populating the darkness, shadowy creatures prowling the endless passages, and dangerous chambers where their most primal urges are violently turned against them. Their clothes lost in a moment of strange lust, they find themselves forced to navigate the unearthly stone corridors naked and vulnerable. Their only chance for survival lies within the odd assortment of objects found inside the box, from which Albert must somehow piece together a map.
2. Gilbert House
A little more than one year ago, Albert and Brandy discovered a fantastic labyrinth hidden deep beneath the streets of Briar Hills, Missouri. Now, strange telephone messages are stirring up the memories of those dark passages and it seems that it may be time for them to return to that perilous, underground world to finish what they started. But when a strange envelope is given to him by a girl named Andrea, Albert finds that he is being steered not toward the university’s steam tunnels, where he began his last journey, but to the bizarre ruins of Gilbert House in the woods north of the campus. Together with Brandy and her best friend, Nicole, Albert ventures into the forest in search of answers. There, amid the crumbling walls and overgrown brush, they encounter Wayne, another local student who was also lured to these ruins by a mysterious envelope. Banding together, the four of them descend into the recently opened cellar door and discover the nightmarish secrets that have long been hidden within the terrible hallways of Gilbert House.
3. The Temple of the Blind
Having narrowly survived the nightmare that he and his friends found hidden within the crumbling ruins of Gilbert House, Albert Cross is newly determined to seek out the answers he has long been denied. He suspects that at least some of those answers may await him in the mysterious labyrinth he and Brandy discovered the previous year, the place he calls The Temple of the Blind. But to get there, he and his friends will have to deal with a madwoman, avoid the strange and deadly creatures that prowl the dark passageways and decipher the remaining clues inside the box to unlock the temple’s map. To make matters worse, the man with no eyes awaits them with a very unpleasant demand.

Meanwhile, Wayne has escaped with Olivia from the vast, corpse-infested forest known as the Wood and is now determined to return to the friends he left behind. Though he is hours behind Albert, Brandy and Nicole, he must somehow catch up and warn them that all may not be as it seems. With Olivia at his side and their new friend, Andrea, along for the trip, he sets out once more on the long, hard journey back to the City of the Blind, hoping he can find them before it is too late.
As the morning approaches, decisions will have to be made. Someone is lying to them. Is it the mysterious old man who aided Wayne in his search for Olivia? Or is it the motherly Sentinel Queen? Together, the six of them must decide who to trust. The very fate of the world may hinge on the actions they choose to take.
6. The Judgment of the Sentinels
Albert Cross emerges from the terrifying labyrinths of the Temple of the Blind with a broken arm and a burdened heart, only to discover that he and his friends must now climb to the summit of a mountain engulfed in fire. Lost in a world of perpetual darkness, surrounded by countless miles of deadly forest, they have no choice but to journey onward or perish in this strange land where little separates the living from the dead. Exhausted, hungry and weak, they will need to rely on every skill they have to survive this final task, including those skills they don’t yet know they possess.
