2. The Wife & The Promise
Inviting Tyler into their bed was fun. And if it brought Penny and Paul closer together after his indiscretion with another woman, does it really matter if the only way they can continue to move forward is to repeat what they did? Not to them. Not when they think they understand exactly what they’re getting into. It’s just a little bit of fun. A way to inject some much needed excitement into their ordinary, humdrum lives. But is swinging really going to be the fix they expect when they still aren’t really communicating?
3. The Wife & Her Men
This far into their adventure, Paul knows what he wants. Penny not so much because doubts concerning her husband’s feelings have her confused about everything. At least everything except for the delectable Tyler. His presence in their bed continues to dominate, and that would be fine if it wasn’t the one element of this supposed fix that Penny is convinced her husband seems just a little too obsessed with. She can’t quite accept how fascinated he is with watching them together, and once it occurs to her that Tyler’s involvement might be the only reason for his renewed interest in her, she struggles to believe anything different. And all that does is make her want to stop. All of their problems could be solved with a simple conversation, but for a couple who have spent so long not communicating, that would probably be a little too easy all around.
