The Skipperess’s Tale by Drew Thomas (The Grass is Always Greener Book 4)
Requirements: ePUB Reader, 216 KB
Overview: Lorna Macfarlane efficiently provides dream holidays aboard her yacht ‘Free Spirit’ based on an idyllic Greek island. She single-handedly sails, cooks, cleans and entertains with what would appear to be a practised and contented air.
Privately, however, she is deeply unhappy, firstly because of the constant pain from her knee – which desperately needs to be replaced – and secondly because she doesn’t like sailing, let alone living on board a boat in a foreign and hostile country. Her husband persuaded her to sell her house in order to follow his sailing dream then died of a heart attack, leaving Lorna with a loan on the boat she believes to be greater than the boat’s value. She would dearly love to be back in England working as she did before – as a hairdresser.
Daily life on ‘Free Spirit’ is a constant struggle populated with arguments with port officials, battles with Greek charter skippers and the endless worry and sleepless nights having to ensure the safety of the boat and her guests.
But change is in the air. Will Lorna throw caution to the wind and find a way out of her precarious life aboard?
