The Rise and Fall of Society by Frank Chodorov
Requirements: .ePUB Reader | 430 kb
Overview: This may be Frank Chodorov’s best work overall. Murray Rothbard called this book "Frank’s final flowering … his last ideological testament, the brilliantly written The Rise and Fall of Society."
But this book has been woefully overlooked. It appeared just after the takeover of the American Right by statists and warmongers. The Old Right, of which Chodorov was a last survivor, had died out; so there was no one to promote his work. It is amazing that Rise and Fall was published at all. Now it is available as an ebook.
This book is short but pithy and enormously powerful. Chodorov patterned it after the work of his beloved mentor, Albert Jay Nock — reworking Nock’s classic Our Enemy, the State into Chodorov’s own elegant style.
The Rise and Fall of Society is accessible and entertaining, perfectly suited for classroom use or as a primer on economics and society. Herein, insight abounds.
