The sanctuary of the dragons has crumbled despite the group’s efforts, and although they are still unsure whether they’re battling against sorcery or divinity, the friends begin to suspect that the dark magic of the sorcerer responsible for their city’s downfall is to blame. With the citizens of magical realms all finding themselves suddenly evicted from their homes and wandering the earth, a war between the gods is waged at the expense of the mortals who stand by and watch helplessly, and with a dragon guardian still missing, the web finally begins to unravel when they discover the truth behind the strange occurrences.

With Aeron and Emerys having disappeared on their own quest to find the dragons’ guardian, the others seek out the source of the disturbance wreaking havoc on the realms, following a trail that leads them to the God of Destruction, who has seized control and has begun to destroy everything in his path. With the other Divines trapped and helpless to oppose him, the friends must find a way to free them and help them to regain the power they have lost before the destructive God’s zeal leaves the world in ashes.
