The Relissarium Wars series by Andrew C. Broderick (#1-2,4,6-11)
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 1.70 MB
Overview: Andrew loves to read and write science fiction. He is captivated by manned spaceflight in particular. He easily extrapolates technologies into the future, keeping his books well-grounded in the hard sci-fi tradition. (This is why the great A.C. Clarke is his greatest influence.) But, his greatest love as a writer is people. Weird, fearful, funny, angry people. He aims to create human stories wrapped in science fiction. Combine this with suspenseful plots and great pacing, and this is a recipe for fantastic, original works. May you enjoy them all!

Annihilation (#1)
The entire planet Relisse will burn within days…
Theo, a struggling farmer on the planet Relisse, gets by on selling crops–until he gets too greedy.
A small-time smuggling gig to help feed his children turns into a murderous double-cross. Now, he’s got a price on his head. Theo’s forced to find some powerful–and dangerous–friends. Fast.
The deal doesn’t seem bad: in exchange for protection, Theo only has to help the Carbonari rebels mine rare minerals for their war with another faction. But when a deadly third player joins the battle, they hit hard: Theo sees his entire planet burn before his eyes! Now, Theo’s got nothing left but revenge, and he’ll take his vengeance all the way to the emperor himself!
Blood Red (#2)
Theo is a broken man. The only family he has left is the rebel group known as the Carbonari.
The war against the powerful Yasta acolytes, blamed for destroying the planet Relisse, and Theo’s family, is heating up. No longer a farmer, Theo must train for combat. Before he’s even half ready to fight, his cell must infiltrate a Yasta monastery, to retrieve vital intelligence. But, can the Carbonari pull off the incursion? And, even with the sharpest blade in existence, can Theo survive the fierce onslaught of dozens of Yasta?
Firestorm (#4)
The traitor in the Strike Force Retaliation team could bring death on them all…
The disastrous ambush at Yasta Relissarium mine ends impossibly badly, when the SFR escape ship breaks apart on reentry to Carristoux. The crash is fatal.
The Yasta are being tipped off, and thwarting SFR at every turn. This can only mean one thing: mission plans are being leaked to the enemy ahead of time. But, who is the Yasta agent among the small team? No one is spared from the finger of suspicion. But, only one member was in all the right places at the right times. Will the traitor be caught? And will SFR even exist after the fury of the Carbonari leadership falls on them?
Capture (#6)
Karl is back, and he’s out for blood. More vicious and evil than ever, he selects Theo for one-on-one sword training at the monastery. Theo can’t possibly survive against the deadly, ruthless man-mountain… or can he?
Before the Carbonari can plan their attack, Karl’s evil can be contained no more. A bloodbath ensues. But, something strange happens: one of them avoids a death blow without knowing how or why! Will this mysterious new phenomenon save the team?
War (#7)
CRASH! An enormous ship slams into the monastery where the Carbonari team is imprisoned. Their fight against dying in a dungeon is now a flight, as the incoming troops fight the Yasta with fearsome weapons. But, do the Carbonari side with the evil empire or the murderous Yasta? Or will both sides devour them?
Prophecy (#8)
The Carbonari now know who the real enemy is, and they’re out for blood.
Theo takes a side trip–through time. Riding a ship with unique capabilities, he watches, stunned, as he sees his final goodbye to Mari and the children. But, a trip 100 years into the future reveals a terrifying dynasty is running the galaxy. It’s an absolute certainty… unless Theo acts now.
Theo travels back to the present, and joins the biggest battle yet. But, this time, the Carbonari have met their match. Is it a suicide mission? Or can they permanently alter the course of events?
Dark Matter (#9)
Theo and Cierra must find the Empire’s secret weapon. They force their way into the heart of the emperor’s main laboratory, only to be cornered by Karl. But, they’ve already discovered the most potent weapon ever created: dark matter. Can they use it to blast their way out of trouble?
Meanwhile, Cherish must convince the Yasta Grand Council that the Empire, not the Carbonari, almost wiped them out. Can she unite the Carbonari and the Yasta against the empire? Or will they fight each other, only to be flattened by the empire?
Attack (#10)
Theo and Serra are captives, standing before the High Galactor himself. All the possible outcomes are terrifying.
The Galactic Guard has the Relissarium mine, and with the precious metal comes the ability to crush all enemies. The Yasta have to take the mine back at any cost. With their fighters hugely outnumbered, they must use every scrap of technology and cunning at their disposal.
Mari is alive! Will Theo reveal all to the High Galactor to save her? Or will he sacrifice her, to protect the growing rebellion?
Showdown (#11)
Theo is being eaten from inside by dark matter, while facing down the Karl’s blade.
Intending to make a public spectacle of Theo’s execution, Karl fights him in the ring on the emperor’s behalf, to cheering crowds, having already poisoned him. Karl gets many good cuts in, overwhelming Theo’s ability to heal himself. But, what he didn’t count on was his opponent’s ability to adapt and use dark matter to his advantage. Will the predator become prey?
The Yasta rebels have taken Relisse. The entire palace complex takes off under its own power, and joins a vast battle fleet heading out to crush the rebellion. Do the Yasta and Carbonari forces stand any chance under the withering assault?
