1. Reckless Faith
John, Ray and Ari are old friends from college, so involved in their careers that they haven’t seen each other in a year. They decide to renew their friendship with a weekend trip to their favorite hideaway in northern New Hampshire. Soon after arrival the three friends encounter a bizarre and mysterious alien device. Attempts to determine the purpose of the device only serve to deepen the puzzle. The companions find themselves faced with a difficult decision: Pursue the seemingly impossible and perilous mission alone, or turn the device over to the government and risk being excluded from the adventure?
2. The Tarantula Nebula
The crew of the Reckless Faith has spent six weeks in hyperspace traveling to a distant star system to fulfill an unknown mission. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that any hope for a quick resolution was only wishful thinking. Powerful political forces, an intergalactic mercenary guild, and a fleet of ruthless invaders are working to stop them. Traveling to Umber was just the beginning; liberating it seems impossible if the crew of the Faith must stand alone against The Tarantula Nebula.
