Overview: D.W. Jackson was born in McAlester Oklahoma, Attended College at Oklahoma City University, and Northeastern State University. As soon as he graduated high school in 2001 he joined the Oklahoma National Guard. In 2003 he was Sent along with five others from his unit to Iraq where he spent slightly over a year in deployment. After returning home he worked as a pipeline surveyor traveling all across the U.S. in 2009 he took a job as a correctional officer for the state of Oklahoma where he worked at both a medium and minimal security level prison. In 2012 his heath declined and was unable to continue working. With time on his hands and out of books to read he decided to pursue his dream of being a writer.

0 Noble Beginnings
The duchy of Farlan has been caught up between the civil war of the empire for so long no one remembers a time when war has not graced their lives. Though not on the battle front the king constantly calls for supplies and more importantly men. When the king calls for the largest call for soldiers in decades, Farlan finds itself at an crossroad. Either send every last able bodied person to the war front or turn their back on the king and declare their independence.
A standalone sidestory of the Reawakening Saga.
1. Inexperienced Mage
Thousands of years after the Fae Wars, magic is now a thing of legend and the once great empire is reduced to hundreds of separate countries. Farlan a rich and powerful Queendom is one such country where men are treated as second class citizens, and often sold into slavery at an early age. Mark a young man has been trained since his childhood to be one of the most sought after slaves produced by the academy. At auction he is purchased by the queen, but on his way to the capital they are attacked allowing him to escape before he is permanently branded.
2. Branded Mage:
After thousands of years without magic, Thad a young man has reawakened the lost art. The only problem is that he is being held prisoner by the queen of Farlan a country where men are second class citizens. With rebellion and war knocking on the Queendom’s door, Queen Serena must try and convince Thad to aid her or else her country will fall to the militant rule of the oppressive Ablaians.
3. Broken Mage:
Trapped in the vast underground networks of the subterranean Thad tries to find his way back to the surface. The trouble is Thad is not the only thing that lurks in the darkness. Creatures he had only heard about in tales appear around every bend. forced to fight for his life Thad is no longer living but merely surviving. He tries to keep his hopes up with his only link to the outside world, a small box that allows a small amount of food and news to be sent to him every few days.
4. Warded Mage
Human mages have been hunted for centuries by the Brotherhood of the Fox, leaving Thad to learn the art through trial and error. When he finally finds another mage, he must travel back into the Underearth in order to train. In the Vathari stronghold he learns many secrets least of all is how to wield his magic. Thad constantly dreams of his home and of the princess who had once been his friend. The foreboding dreams force Thad to hurry to complete his training and continue on his journey to reach Farlan. Back in the world of men his life does not become any easier as the Brotherhood is now searching for him, in the never ending attempt to rid the world of all creatures of magical nature.
5. Stranded Mage
Thad has never had an easily life but he has always been able to push past the pain. When one of his friends are taken from him, he goes on a quest for revenge. With a small army behind him Thad marches straight into the Brotherhood’s homeland. Greatly outnumbered and backed into a corner, Thad pushes recklessness to a new level as he fights to survive.
6. Master Mage
Farlan has welcomed those of magical heritage with open arms, but it has come at a price. The Brotherhood is amassing a large army in the Kingdom of Rane to the east with designs on not only conquering Farlan but slaughtering every mage and magical being that dares to stray into their path.
Thad has sent out his friends in hopes of rallying the magical creatures to defend the only known safe haven in Kurt. The dwarves that hide in their valley, the elves of the wooded isle, and the Vathari who dwell deep in the underearth—they are the only hope Farlan has to win. As the last of the winter snows melt, Thad must ride out to face the coming horde with his meager army and pray that help comes soon; otherwise, all will be lost.
