Corey, a restless man, lives in the dank, smoggy lower levels of the colony. He is a Cower, one of the hundreds of thousands working for Loi & Gas, a global provider of biological fuel. He lives in a company-own hexagon connected to the pyramid via a centipod train and gets paid in Virtual Reality chips that can also be exchanged for food, services or better chips in the rings below the markets. Corey’s ultimate goal is to save enough to afford a training one. A chip that would instantly allow him to be a technician, a virtual reality programmer.
But the colony’s roots grow deep and reach far, and Corey will soon find himself involved in a mess of his own making when he crosses paths with a group of fake chip dealers, a rogue programmer, and the broken survivors of a long lost rebellion.
