1: Temple of the Winds In Pentworth, West Sussex, supplies of electricity, gas and water are mysteriously diminishing. Then, suddenly, a force field surrounds Pentworth, and the population is completely cut off from the outside world. The centre of the force field is Pentworth Lake, where locals speculate that a UFO has landed.
The people of Pentworth may be isolated from the rest of humanity, but they are not set apart from human nature, which seems, if anything, magnified within this bubble. Heroes emerge, romance buds — and evil steps forward as if its moment has finally come. Adding to this drama, a sequence of fantastical events occur, turning people’s lives upside down. It becomes apparent that the force which is controlling the area isn’t outrightly malign, but it is extremely mysterious. If there is a UFO in the lake, why have they come, and why don’t they establish contact?
2: Wicca Life in Pentworth hasn’t been the same since the town was enclosed by a force field and isolated in space and time from the outside world. But events take an even more sinister turn when the leader of a twisted religious cult, bent on revenge, manages to reinstate a seventeenth-century law against witchcraft — and its ultimate punishment…
At the same time. the divide between town and country is widening, and a civil war is threatening to erupt.
3: The Silent Vulcan It is over six months since the West Sussex community of Pentworth became isolated from the rest of the world by a mysterious force wall. Beyond the strange, dome-like barrier lies the unreachable world of the bleak steppes of Europe of 40,000 years ago. Equally unreachable are the visitors responsible for the creation of the force wall, sheltering in their UFO in a deep swamp. The visitors have largely ignored the imprisoned inhabitants with the exception of sixteen-year-old Vikki Taylor. She alone holds the key as to why the visitors have come. What is the extraordinary reason for their arrival in their "Silent Vulcan"?
