Nuclear bomb-carriers are fueled, the pilots have their seat belts fastened. Radioman-machine-gunner Byuros-Ut is just a small screw in the giant machine of the Royal Bomb-Carrier Air Force. He is proud of the mission in which he takes part, he is sure of victory though he does not know the future. He has no idea what sorrows, nightmares and disappointments await him in future, on the alien territory. He cannot image that very soon his understanding of the reality will undergo a fundamental change and his aims in life will change was well. But will he be able to change at least something in the surrounding nuclear hell
