Book 1
In the north of England, Gordon Burns is on his way back over to the Scottish borders, but before he can make it a strange and horrific scene takes place. After abandoning his car, and stuck in the middle of the Pennines, running for his life, Gordon reaches a guesthouse and meets up with the owners as well as other guests. After watching the news on the television, Gordon and his guests realise that the country has been thrown into bloody chaos, and are on the verge of a possible apocalypse. Nothing seems to be stopping these things, as the infected that the media are calling "Runners" are running amok and spreading the virus. Join Gordon, Joan, Sue, Lloyd, and Junior to see how this turns out for our characters. Who will manage to avoid the infection that is ravaging the country?
Book 2
Heading into the second week of this disaster, and our survivors, Gordon, Joan, Lloyd, Junior and the despicable Marvin are forced to go on the run once more from the infected, from the Runners. Despite being in the Pennines, the number of Runners seems to be growing, and no matter where the group go, bloodshed always seems to follow them. Will they eventually find sanctuary until the country is sorted out, or will they all finally fall victim to the infection, like the many millions across the nation?
Book 3
In the final book of this novella trilogy, we see that our survivors, Lloyd, Marvin, Junior, Gordon and Joan, have experienced a quiet few days since the horrific episode at Blanchland. But those quiet days are no more. In order to survive, a supply run has to be organised. This involves going to the nearest town and farms to gather what they can to survive. But, of course, a supply run in this apocalyptic scenario will never go with out a hitch, not with the Runners about. Who will go on this supply run? And will there be any casualties amongst the volunteers and the people that are left behind at the caravan site? The final story in the Monsterland trilogy will reveal all.
