The Martian Paragons: of Antrorse Station by Antonio Gamonal
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 307 KB
Overview: It’s nearing the 23rd century, and nearly 300 people are living successfully at Antrorse Station, a Utopian society on Mars. For over 50 years now, Matthias Green, the station’s main designer, engineer and inventor has worked tirelessly to keep his world safe from most of Nature’s impediments to human survival on Mars (such as pervasive radiation and the deadly effects of low gravity), by building on the vanguard successes of the previous Muskonian Colonies of the mid-21st century as well as reengineering “old world” Earth technology designs from the Langley Research Center (once a NASA research facility, but after the US dissolved into the 29 Franchisements, now a wholly owned asset of the Corporatist Feudal State of Teslania).

Yet, Matthias had been too naive in his original designs, which inevitably attracted the one thing he wanted to protect his Antrorse Stationeers from the most, Earth’s toxic corruption. Although it wasn’t his intention, it was Matthias himself who had planted the seeds of destruction in his beloved station early in its development, only discovering too late the disastrous consequences of his genius. Always wanting what it cannot have, as is its nature, Greed eventually cast its monstrous green eyes towards his Martian utopia, prepared to destroy everything he had created in its blind need to possess. Now, facing the utter destruction of Antrorse, Matthias must struggle against time to save the station’s most precious product, Antrorse’s Martian born children. For, as Matthias believes, only this precious crop of untainted and pure scions can save the ideals of Antrorse, but more importantly, save all of Mankind from its own demons, and inescapable self destruction.
