Overview: I’m Andrew Dobell, a storyteller based in Surrey in the UK. I’ve written stories since I was a teenager, including running numerous Role Playing Games through the years. As I started a family and gaming became something I didn’t have time for any more, I knew i wanted to do something with the characters that I had created. My first book, Epic Calling in the The Magi Saga series is a direct result of wanting to keep telling those stories.

#2 – Magi Rising – A psychotic death Magus rules New York. The city you call home. He wants you dead. What do you do? Amanda has returned to New York, the city she loves, with her closest friends. But Lucian, a Dark Magus, Crime Lord and so-called “King of New York” rules here. Trespassers are shown no mercy and are quickly killed. As Amanda attempts to settle here, she must resist Lucian’s campaign of terror against her. She finds herself under surveillance, dealing with troublesome Magi Politics and fighting off dangerous assassins as she tries to make a home for herself. Amanda must find the courage to resist the darkness and to stand up for what is right. She needs to have unwavering confidence in her new abilities as a Magus if she’s to have any chance against this powerful dark Magis. If she doesn’t, even with help from an unlikely ally, her life and the lives of her closest friends are in grave danger.
#3 – Magi Omen – You thought you were doing the right thing. You thought things couldn’t get any worse. You were wrong! The Inquisition want her destroyed. The Nomads want to torture and then kill her. Even some of the American Magi want her gone. But, at least her love life is also a mess! Amanda’s life has never been easy, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. New York has been liberated! The Nomad Lucian and his dark Magi gang are gone. Now, Magi from around the world are coming into Manhattan to settle, following the rumours of the Magus who killed Lucian. But in the frozen wastes of Antarctica, the plans of the mysterious Mr Black are nearing completion. Gathering weapons of mass destruction and powerful Magical items, Amanda is drawn into a race to stop him. But Mr Black’s revelations about her past changes everything. Amanda must come to terms with this new information and find the strength to overcome Mr Black’s forces and save the world from his misguided rage.
#4 – Magi Edge – You’re the chosen one… Or, so everyone says. Do you believe them? After the events and revelations on the Atoll, Amanda is left Reeling. Now she must deal with the new information about her past and the new powers she has gained. Mr Black has gone missing, someone is spreading rumors about her being some sort of Chosen One, and all Amanda wants to do is to live her life the way she wants. As these rumors spread, she becomes the focus of attention for Magi throughout America and the world. Some just want to meet her, but others want to hurt her. Not least of these is Nymira, who is out for her blood and the Magi Legion who want to ruin her life and utterly discredit her. With all this attention, and her new found abilities, such as being able to cross into the Abyss, she starts to believe the hype, which only serves to alienate those closest to her. Amanda must step up and fight against those who wish to hurt her and overcome her own hubris before she loses her friends, her supporters, and maybe her life.
#5 – Magi Odyssey – Sent back in time over a thousand years. You must stop a world-shattering paradox from ever happening, and then find your way home. Amanda had only ever wanted to do the right thing. To help those who needed her and to stop those who would exploit others. When the Inquisition discovered the Time Device on the Atoll, they chose to use it for themselves and as a way to get to Amanda. In a desperate bid to stop them, Amanda travelled to the Atoll. But when she was visited by the Weaver, she was given the chance to protect history itself, and prevent the paradox from ever happening. Now, transported over a thousand years into the past, Amanda discovers that the Inquisitor’s target has a direct connection to her, and Amanda must now stop the Inquisition before their actions change everything. But dealing with the inquisition is only the beginning of a journey through time and a series of breathtaking adventures she could never have anticipated. Amanda must find the strength to survive, and just perhaps she can find her way home.
