Overview: In the near future, a man climbing the corporate ladder finds that his latest promotion is not all that it seems. Sent to the dank and mysterious Sub-Level 19, he encounters a monstrous device that severs his hand and replaces it with an indistinguishable mechanical substitute – the price for his elevation in the company.
At home, his partner Jane realises that all is not as it seems, as he withdraws further and further into his career. Try as she might, she can’t break through to him, and he keeps his secret from her as their relationship begins to fall apart.
