        Holly crap people if you are not reading this series…a plague on both your houses (Shakespeare reference…I’m cultured). Justin Jordan and Tradd More have released another outstanding issue which is good because I was afraid the first issue was a fluke (I’m cynical what can I say). I love how Jordan gives Luther so much heart and character. It’s eerie how well we see Luther’s fear of himself and his new "talents." Even though he no longer is bully fodder, he understands being feared is not much better and he does not like it. The panels where we see Luther lose control are gut wrenching I saw them and thought "oh no…not Pete." Luther may be buff (according to his gf he feels like a condom stuffed with coconuts) and a bad ass now but he is still scrawny, nerdy Luther Strode and that is why I love this book, and he has a poster of All-Star Superman in his room…look close it’s there. I love his supporting cast his best friend Pete is hilarious and Petra is no damsel in distress (Jordan even says he"didn’t want to write a trophy character or a woman who was likely to end up in a fridge). This is a great book and unlike the usual comic which is great seeing Jacobson being hounded and the fate of his family actually made me pity the character. Seeing how he was hunted made me feel like I was reading a horror movie or something, that’s how good Jordan and Moore are. I only wish there was more insight into this Librarian bastard and his connection/fascination with Luther but it’s only the 2nd issue and I kind of like the unsettling mystery that surrounds the situation. The scene in the convenient store really shows how bad ass Luther has become and again how much heart he has, he really cares for his friend Pete and only wanted to protect him and the others in the store. This is the first time I’ve ever seen milk do a body bad but Luther and his trusty snacks make it great (read it it’s awesome). Luther Strode and his strange talents are a gem hidden gem I was very lucky to happen to pick up the 1st issue this series is truly great and Jordan’s script really makes this a unique experience that makes this more than your average comic book. Do yourself a favor and find the 1st issue and catch up so you can appreciate the awesomeness that is Luther Strode.
