The Lone Star Reloaded Series (3-4) by Drew McGunn
Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 1.6MB
Overview: Drew McGunn lives in Texas with his wonderfully supportive wife. He started writing in high school and after college worked the nine-to-five grind for many years, while the stories in his head rattled around, begging to be released.

After one too many video games, Drew awoke from his desire for one more turn, and returned to his love of the printed word. His love of history led him to study his roots, and as a sixth generation Texan, he decided to write about the founding of Texas as a Republic. There were many terrific books about early Texas, but hardly any about alternate histories of the great state. With that in mind, he wrote his debut novel “Forget the Alamo!” as a reimagining of the first days of the Republic.

When he’s not writing or otherwise putting food on the table, Drew enjoys traveling to historic places, or reading other engaging novels from up and coming authors.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy

#3 – To the Victors the Remains
Six years after being stranded in the past, Will has survived the Alamo, brokered peace with the Comanche, and found love. Now he faces his greatest challenge yet.

Determined to enforce a treaty’s boundary, the president orders Will and the army of the Republic of Texas to annex everything north of the Rio Grande, including Santa Fe. But the dictator, Santa Anna has returned to power in Mexico and he wants his country back – all of it.

Will faces an unwinnable situation; he is stranded hundreds of miles away from the Alamo when he uncovers plans for a Mexican Invasion. Santa Anna’s army is already on the march and only a few regulars, a handful of militia and Will’s family stand in his way. It will take a miracle to save his family and the Republic of Texas from Santa Anna’s revenge.

#4 – Down Mexico Way
n the seven years since he was stranded in 1836 in the body of William Barret Travis, Will Travers has managed to win Texas independence without the costly massacres he recalled from his own history and forge a peace treaty with the Comanche.

As 1843 dawns he faces his greatest challenge yet. Mexico has renewed its war of reconquest. A new general is in charge of Mexico’s army, bringing new strategies to blunt Will’s modern tactics and superior weapons.

To counter this new threat, thousands of men from towns and farms across the Republic of Texas volunteer to defend their hard-earned freedom. Although heartened by this display of patriotism, Will knows a war of attrition favors Mexico and will destroy the fragile Republic. He turns to a few resourceful men to devise new weapons. Even that won’t be enough. He must also find a way to out-think his wily adversary if he wishes to save everything he’s worked so hard to build.
