Everyone knows that the Barren Sea is the most dangerous sea in the world and that few make it out alive. Even though I’m meant to keep Finn at a distance, I find myself willing to risk everything to save him.
Even if it means turning my back on everything I’ve ever known.

Because Mila Anslov, the girl that I once was, died on the boat that day three months ago, and a goddess rose in her place.
Or at least that’s what they say, but I’m not so sure that’s true. The goddess Navka is supposed to be above mortal temptation, and a lower Seelie from the Kingdom of Whynne should be far from my first choice for a lover, especially after he betrayed me and threatened the safety of my homeland.
But try as I might, I can’t forget Finn, and when I open my door to see the strange fae standing there?
I decide to make a choice that could tear apart nations.
