Mission: Malta (1982)
It was supposed to be a well-deserved break from elite Selection training for STA-F, but an hour into a flight to the sandy white beaches of Santorini, Lawson’s flight is hijacked by a trio of vampires and redirected to the island nation of Malta. With the local authorities and a squadron of Delta Force operators surrounding them, the bad guys need Lawson to do them a favor: escape the plane and break someone out of protective custody on the island. But just who is this target and why do they want him so badly? With time ticking down, Lawson’s got to sort it all out before he winds up in the crosshairs and gets a double-tap for his trouble.

The Infiltrator (1987)
Take a trip back in time to Vienna, 1987. Lawson is dispatched to recover an ancient artifact stolen from the Council headquarters in Boston, only to find much more than he bargained for – especially when he meets the alluring Liesel. From the Grand Hotel Wien to the forested banks of the Danube, the action and suspense are non-stop in this fast-paced novella of 14,000 words.

The Courier (#6)
En route to Japan, Lawson gets an emergency message asking him to touch down in the Philippines where a series of events have unfolded that jeopardize the secrecy of the existence of the vampire race. Alone, with no friends to call upon, Lawson must unravel the conspiracy afoot and take steps to prevent classified information from falling into the wrong hands. But even as he starts to figure out who the culprits are, new enemies emerge – and each one more deadly than the last.

The Shepherd (#12)
A 27,000-word novella that sends Lawson to Pakistan and Afghanistan to hunt down a vampire who guides Taliban fighters back and forth over the border in exchange for young children. MEET LAWSON. A cynical, wise-cracking vampire charged with protecting the Balance – the secret existence of a race of LIVING vampires that have evolved alongside humanity for thousands of years. A FIXER. Part-spy, and part-commando — James Bond with fangs. Lawson mixes shrewd cunning with unmatched lethality to get his job done. He tries his best to dismantle conspiracies, dispatch bad guys, and live long enough to get home. THE SHEPHERD A vampire who has flown under the radar for years, known only through a few grainy surveillance photos. He’s been guiding Taliban fighters back-and-forth over the Pak/Afghan border in exchange for young children he bleeds dry. The Council has had enough and dispatches Lawson to make sure the Shepherd loses his flock once and for all. But Lawson’s never been to this area of the world before, and he soon realizes he’ll have to rely on some new folks if he is to have any chance at all of succeeding in his mission.

Frosty The Hitman (#14)
It’s the day before Christmas and Lawson’s spending it with his least favorite person in the world: Ava, a wealthy Council member who has always hated him. But Ava’s in trouble and Lawson is the only person standing between her and a deadly assassin named Frost.

A Fog of Fury (#15)
A special Lawson vampire mission that reunites the Fixer Lawson with Jack the Invoker. When the death of a prominent vampire on the Maine coast leads to a community squabble, Lawson is dispatched the mediate. What he and Jack find instead may be a whole lot more sinister than they imagined…and part of a puzzle that has been plaguing Lawson for years.

Invitation to Dance (#16)
A quick trip to New York City on an errand for the local Control starts Lawson down the path to his most challenging mission ever. This 6500-word story sets the stage for the next Lawson Vampire novel due out in early 2013. Prior to reading this story, you should have already read A FOG OF FURY and THE RIPPER in order to be fully up-to-date on story arcs and details.

Incident At Palmyra (#20)
Syria. A war-torn, crumbling society on the verge of total chaos and collapse. In the midst of it all, an elite Fixer STA-F team has walked into an ambush and been taken captive. While the Council attempts to put together a proper rescue operation to get them out, Lawson is sent into the region to get eyes-on and locate the captives in order to coordinate the rescue effort. But as any combat vet knows, the situation on the ground is a far cry from what it looks like back in the safety of the Council building. Lawson soon realizes there’s more to the mission that meets the eye. Only time will tell whether he can rescue the team…or have to kill them all to keep the secret of the vampire race intact.

Lady of the Dead (#21)
They call her La Calavera Catrina, the Lady of the Dead. The evil, merciless ruler of a new vampire drug cartel operating south of the border, she is expanding her family’s control over a large swath of Mexico and the Council wants her stopped by any means necessary. That means sending in Lawson. Alone and without backup, Lawson tracks the cartel leader to a remote valley where he learns the truth about La Calavera’s rumored power: her ability to kill the immortal souls of those who oppose her. But will Lawson sell out the Council in order to save his own skin? Or will he come face-to-face with the terrifying reality of the Lady of the Dead and her band of bloodthirsty henchmen?

A Forced Disappearance (#22)
Lawson’s worked with the Lycanthropes only a few times in his past, but when the young protégée of the Lycan elder Belladonna goes missing unexpectedly, Belladonna calls upon Lawson to find her at all costs – something the vampire Council will most certainly not approve of, especially when rescuing the apprentice means Lawson must trespass on Lycan territory. If he’s discovered, it could mean war. This is the first Lawson adventure in DARK OPS – missions not sanctioned by the Council and totally off-the-books.

The Koryo Escort (#25)
North Korea, April 2017 With international tensions rising to unprecedented levels, North Korea is an inhospitable place to any foreigner. But it’s even more dangerous to a vampire – especially a Fixer named Lawson who just so happens to be sneaking into the country to help Talya bring across a defector in possession of the most-detailed intelligence on North Korea’s nuclear capabilities. But even as Lawson sneaks inside a world seldom seen by outsiders, the Council wants him to bring back information about vampires living under the totalitarian regime. And before he knows it, a simple escort becomes a much more complex assignment. With the clock ticking down until their exfil window closes, Lawson must get them all to safety while dodging an enemy that may or may not be all that he seems.
