Overview: Far future, inhabited space. Nick Sobolev, an intern of the space courier service, due to an accident and his own self-assuredness, unexpectedly ends up on a planet, tucked away in deep space, named Terrius and resembling the Earth.
At the site of his starship wreck, local hunters pick up Nick. He sets out together with them to the Forest and the City, to find a way to communicate with the Earth and to understand why on the planet, where the residents are at the level of development of a feudal society, there are structures and devices capable of shooting down interstellar vehicles.
The events unfold quickly and are full of unexpected turns. Nick finds himself involved in solving ancient secrets of the local civilization. To save his new friends, he has to participate in a brutal Ritual that is reminiscent of gladiator fights. All this does not go unnoticed. Nick’s participation attracts attention of many powerful people of the country, all of whom have their own plans in relation to the strange alien. Some want to kill him, others see him as a messiah from an ancient prophecy.
