My name is Donny, and this is the story of my death. The good news is there is an afterlife, the bad news is I didn’t make it into Heaven. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Remanded to purgatory, Saint Peter offers me a reduced sentence if I opt for the seventh level. It sounded like a great deal, but it turned into my worst nightmare.
Now my daughter is in trouble back on Earth. I can’t let her end up in purgatory, or God forbid, some place worse. I need to save her before it’s too late. But that would mean the impossible—breaking out. I’ll do anything to save my daughter. I just hope I don’t lose my soul in the process.
2. Give ‘Em Hell, Donny – Heaven won’t take me, purgatory can’t hold me, and Hell is trying to control me.
I did it. I made it back to Earth. Sure, it required a Faustian bargain, but I’ll worry about that later. I need to find my daughter. She’s all that matters. I’m on her trail, but Lucifer’s demands keep getting in my way. His tasks keep me slipping ever farther into a moral hole in which there is no salvation.
I can’t fail. My daughter’s very soul is at stake.
