Overview: Ian

What’s the difference between a stand-up comedian and a murderer? None.

Seven years ago my life took a drastic turn. One that replaced love with a thirst for revenge. A turn that transformed me from a loyal lover to an unwavering protector. I always believed I’m meant for greatness, so that’s what I’m fighting to achieve. My methods are arguable, sure. But what’s a bit of controversy in the greater scheme of eliminating predators, right?

I’m proof that nightmares and dreams can coexist. I’m amusing on the surface and an optimist at heart. I believe in change and I look down on shallowness. I’m a perfectionist and a patient observer. I hardly obsess over people, but when I do, I do it beyond the point of despair. Ask Echo. She knows better than anyone how it feels to be the object of my fixation. And the best part is that she feeds from my soul the same way her shadows are nurturing mine.

If I could use one word to describe myself, I would choose survivor.

I’m surviving, yet I’m not sure I’m living. I was broken one too many times to even dream of having a peaceful life. One where I don’t have to perpetually fight painful memories and dark thoughts. A life where I’m laughing at home and a tough act to follow at work. I’m floating, but I’m not sure I’ll ever reach the shore. I’m breathing and suffocating at the same time.

I chose to become a lawyer because I thought that saving others might help me save myself. I thought wrong. Because I’m haunted by the ghosts of my past and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to leave them behind. Ask Ian. He knows better than anyone how it feels to witness my trips down memory lane. And the best part is he took my hand and walked with me instead of trying to stop the journey altogether.
