1. The Hard-Boiled Omelet: A humorous culinary cozy mystery —The Hard-Boiled Omelet will keep you guessing (and salivating) until the very end.
The Crime
When the daughter of a prominent family is kidnapped, private investigator Guy Vanduex and his partner in crime-solving, Sylvia Parker, are enlisted to help crack the case. They quickly find themselves drawn into a dangerous situation full of twists, turns, and ice cream cones.

The Detective
A former chef turned private investigator, Guy Vanduex’s knack for finding ingredients (I mean clues) leaves him always one step away from cracking the recipe (I mean case) wide open. But can he catch the kidnapper before it’s too late?

The Town
The story unfolds in Tempest, North Carolina, a small, foggy town whose evergreen rolling hills conceal darker secrets than a visitor might expect. The small downtown is filled with lovely red-stone brick shops, like O’Henry’s Supply Shop or Madeline’s Ice Creamery, but supplies can be used for dark deeds, and an ice cream freezer can be stuffed with more than just popsicles and froyo.

Tempest’s beautiful beaches lay at the base of high, picturesque cliffs, but their shores can become a popular location for crime scene photography.
The people of Tempest are kind, caring, and welcoming, but they are also secretive, cunning, and occasionally murderous.

2. The Party, the Crime, and the Nachos: The Town of Tempest’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party occurs every month and its host, Michael Sloss, wouldn’t miss it for the world, even if it meant that he was going to be murdered… for real. So Sloss enlists Guy Vanduex to solve a murder: his own.

A former chef turned private investigator, Guy Vanduex’s knack for finding ingredients (I mean clues) leaves him always one step away from cracking the recipe (I mean case) wide open. But when the murder mystery party turns into a real murder mystery, will our chef turned private investigator be able to catch the murderer before the game is up?

3. Cold Cats and Hot Dogs: Private investigator Guy Vanduex and his partner Sylvia Parker are enlisted to find a missing cat, presumed kidnapped.
A former chef turned private investigator, Guy Vanduex’s knack for finding ingredients (I mean clues) leaves him always one step away from cracking the recipe (I mean case) wide open. But this case is not all that it seems. When a ravenous clowder of felines threatens Vanduex and Parker, the claws come out. As the cat scratches stack up, can our chef turned private investigator solve the mystery in time?

4. Pumpkin Spice and Haunted Twice: A haunted hotel and a missing briefcase… what could possibly go wrong?
It’s almost Halloween and former chef turned private investigator Guy Vanduex and his partner in crime-solving Sylvia Parker go to the Ghost Inn to experience a haunted attraction. But when a briefcase mysteriously disappears, Vanduex and Parker are enlisted to find it in the eerie hotel.

It seems simple enough, but when footsteps are heard in unoccupied rooms, lights flicker and switch off—and enthusiastic ghost hunters attempt a séance and ghost hunt, things turn from simple to plain old spooky.

Join Guy Vanduex and Sylvia Parker on this entertaining culinary ghost mystery as they attempt to solve another case in the small town of Tempest, North Carolina.

Featuring a mouthwatering pumpkin spice latte, there’s more to this little ghost mystery than meets the eye (or the tummy).
