Overview: Chaos erupts across the planet as fourteen alien craft descend. All efforts at communication have failed. Governments around the globe have initiated high alerts and activated their missile defense systems. With the main invasion aimed at the north-central portion of the U.S., aircraft from the military have scrambled to meet this invader. The largest spacecraft is over a quarter of a mile in diameter.
Massive fear causes conditions to deteriorate, triggering looting in large cities. All efforts by the leaders of the various governments to de-escalate the situation have failed.
Weeks earlier …
At the edge of Lake Michigan, Luke and Louise stand hand in hand in awe of the starry night sky surrounding them. Luke has a burning desire to know if the Guardians, an alien race that visited Earth centuries ago, will return. He has proof of their previous visits throughout history with the material he acquired. Louise deeply connects to her tribal ancestors’ stories of the Guardians, stories she hopes will be proven true. With the vastness of space stretching out before them, they can only wonder what lies beyond the stars.
Louise turns to Luke. “The Guardians are the oldest race in the galaxy and look similar to humans, except they’re over seven feet tall. Their skin is pale, and they’re as swift as a deer when they move. They are the defenders against all aggressors who would enslave peaceful and developing planetary races.”
Luke pulled her close. “We know the Guardians visited our planet in the past. They will return should the need arise. They are protectors.”
