Overview: Finelle Constantin has always marched to the beat of her own drum and her career turned out to be no different but suddenly after years of conservation work in Central Africa, she’s had enough. Finelle takes up and offer from the Columbus Zoo in Ohio to escort an adult male Mountain gorilla she handpicked from the wild to the repopulation program at the zoo’s prestigious facility. With a chance to get back to modern civilization firmly in her grasp, she jumps at the opportunity to escape the increasing madness that had become the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In New York, Finelle is teamed up with Bruce Goldstein, an enclosure and containment expert from Ohio, to ensure the animal makes a safe arrival at the zoo but from the get go its clear their relationship will be a rocky one. Had they known how much more difficult their trip was about to get, perhaps the two would have made a more conscious effort to get along.
That night as their train sped across Pennsylvania Amish country a flooded ravine and unstable bridge threaten to derail their plans… literally but when an irresponsible order is given to their engineer, the Columbus Zoo team find themselves in a situation which could easily result the loss of one of their own.
