#1 The Geomancer’s Apprentice: Who knew feng shui would be this dangerous? Junie Soong reaches a new low in her life when she’s fired from Starbucks. Her brother is brilliant, her parents are stars in their professions while she … trails behind in everything. Things start looking up when Joe Tham, a struggling geomancer and feng shui master based in Washington, D.C.,’s Chinatown, takes her on as his apprentice. Junie finds out monsters are real while she and Joe investigate an eerie sinkhole in their client’s cellar. She also discovers she may be the last of a line of warriors who can channel qi, the essential life force underpinning the universe. She now must race against time to learn how to wield her powers while fending off shape-shifting, malevolent creatures from the depths of Diyu, the Chinese version of Hell. Not only that, she and Joe must deal with the ghosts that are suddenly manifesting in the cellar.

#2 The Forgotten Guardian: Some secrets are better left buried … The old, abandoned temple near Chinatown is one of Washington, D.C.’s best-kept secrets. It is dilapidated and its gods have been forgotten. However, something may still remain. Two homeless people are killed on the grounds while a developer is trying to raze the buildings. Now construction workers keep walking off the job. The developer calls in feng shui practitioners Joe Tham and Junie Soong to speed up the demolition process. It’s been months since the geomancers cleansed the Kalorama house. Junie is getting to know her newfound abilities. Joe has big plans for their business even as he continues to probe the suspicious circumstances of his father’s death in 1981. Joe is surprised when his long-lost half sister turns up. His mother Elsie pays a visit next. Elsie has something of grave importance to tell him that cannot wait any longer. And as Joe and Junie delve into the temple’s mystery, they learn the truth may be far more shocking than they ever imagined.

#3 The Corpse Ritual: The Smithsonian Natural History Museum is full of dead things. Now some may be undead … A brazen robbery takes place at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum at the height of the pandemic. The robbers make off with a 250-year-old Chinese mummy from the museum’s forthcoming exhibition. Soon, the dead bodies are stacking up.
Joe Tham and Junie Soong’s feng shui business is limping along, not helped by the D.C. government’s Covid restrictions. Joe is still trying to solve his father’s murder, while Junie is leaning into her special powers. The two underdog feng shui consultants are roped into the museum case. As they dig deeper into the mystery behind the mummy and the museum’s new exhibits, they encounter something monstrous … and hungry. This may be their toughest case yet. It will stretch Joe’s ingenuity and Junie’s abilities, and push them to their limits. It may, in fact, be the death of them.
