Overview: John Donlan was born in 1977 in Manchester, England. Growing up in a city that was synonymous with the Industrial Revolution gave him an appreciation of that era. The architecture, the rapid growth of industry and the changing attitudes of the population of the British Isles. It was this interest that eventually led to his first novel, a steampunk thriller named Iron City Rebels. He now lives in Scotland with his partner, and is looking forward future writing endeavours. Currently he is working on the second volume in the Iron City series: Iron City Uprising.
