Overview: Carthage is in ruins and under attack by giant bloodthirsty vulture-like creatures from a netherworld. No one knows who is responsible for the vulture invasion, but people are being slain in mass numbers. With their new queen missing, rebel leader Gru and his men are holed up in a cave.
When Gru and his men find a girl named Reign and her son, tensions rise when she claims her son is to be the fourth king of Carthage, the one who will save the nation and rebuild it. Gru accepts Reign, but one of his men, Fase, is extremely disgruntled, since they already barely have enough food to survive.
Tragedy strikes Gru’s men when Reign and her child come up missing. There is no sign of Fase. Has Fase harmed Reign and her son, the fourth king? What will become of Carthage? Will Gru be able to save his nation and defeat the vultures? Only time will tell.
