Overview: I grew up in the middle of a cotton field with a library card. It was my ticket to adventures beyond the world I knew and experienced day to day. I grew and changed, eventually leaving that place, but the stories I gathered along the way shaped my perspective, and changed me. Now I seek to do the same for my readers. Hello, my name is Rebecca Mickley, and I invite you to take up a chair by the fire, and listen as I spin my tales. I cannot always promise you a happy ending, but I can promise you an experience that you will never forget.

1. Dawnbreak
You can’t choose what you are, except when you can.

It’s only been a few months since first contact and, although peaceful, humanity will never be the same. The new treaty with the Mendians is seemingly too good to be true; free access to hundreds of star systems and the means to get there. All they ask in return is that humanity make the Mendian’s "Path of the Other" free to any who desire it. Although following it means to surrender your humanity, for the UEA leadership, the price is worth it. After all, who would choose that?

Joyce and John were both born feeling different, like they were meant to be something else, a feeling they’ve never been able to share except with each other. Now they can become anything and suddenly there is hope. Joyce can’t wait to be one of the first human-animal hybrids called Morphics. John is supportive but worried about the risks and the stigma from society as distrust of the treaty grows.

A great divide is growing within humanity between those who see the hope for a new age of mankind and those who fear the beginning of the end for humanity itself. Hope or fear, the lines are drawn, and to the victor goes the fate of humanity itself.

2. Exile’s Return
One decade after first contact, new technologies released upon humanity by the Treaty of Gates are changing the definition of what it means to be sapient and human. As the tension builds with Earth’s mysterious new allies, out of nowhere they request the presence of a new Ambassador, a minor functionary from the First Contact Team.

Years out of date, and having left humanity behind for a distant outer rim world, Snow Dawkins lives blissfully unaware. Lieutenant Commander Charlie Stevens is dispatched to bring her back into service to represent Earth again. Will their mission be successful, and can Earth survive the potential consequences of failure?

3. Rise of the Forgotten
A surprise announcement from the Mendians takes the world by storm… a new gate will soon come online in an effort to fulfill the Treaty of Light.

Negotiated by Deep Space Ambassador Snow Dawkins, it was designed to stop a war, designed to keep both sides talking, and for ten years it’s worked. Still, the greatest threat to humanity, has always been the humans themselves.

While Earth reels from seismic revelations about their place in the galaxy, tensions between pro and anti-morphic groups begin to boil over at home. Can humanity rise to meet the challenges and revelations before them, or will it finally tear them apart?
