Overview: It all began when… Anyone who knows me will tell you I am a keen nerd and geek of all things fantasy/scifi and historical. I love alternative histories, unexplained mysteries, and all those little myths and legends that get swept under the cultural rug by more ‘serious’ minded folks. Ive always been in love with stories, and found myself especially attracted to the ‘bigger picture’ tales of high fantasy and science fiction where whole worlds and galaxies had been created, populated and fleshed out by their authors. So like most of us really. In my time, Ive been running around visiting some of the greatest ancient sites on offer – I’ve been enchanted by English and Welsh castles, mesmerised by the ancient splendour of Athens, Corinth and Mycenae and captured by the monolithic wonders of Rome. Places like these inspire, and it was from these that I really began to put together the stories and characters that I wanted to write about. Following a dare (never dare your sister), I found myself leaving university to teach English in Japan for a couple of years. Surrounded by a culture that has more than its fair share of legends and tales, I finally made a start writing my own.

Heralds Call (The Fable of Griffon #1)
In a single night of betrayal and tragedy, Griffon Allshold, prince of the realm of Tyran, is made a fugitive in his own land. To free his people he is tasked with finding the lost artefacts of the hero Iborane. Sworn to his side, he is accompanied by allies drawn from across the Seven plains.
Hunted mercilessly, they must find the relics before their enemies track them down, or their own rivalries tear them apart.
The Raven Rises.
Heralds Dawn (The Fable of Griffon #2)
‘Blood and Sand’ – Battle cry of the Battlelands
Two years, and Griffon has finally returned to his home of Tyran as both a king and a father. With his realm still healing from the occupation, and threatened by the looming darkness in the distant West, he is suddenly called to arms by his most dependable ally – the sand blown realm of Lenateth. Faced with a new threat, he must fight a war that even in victory, could yet be the doom of them all.
A new era comes, and the dawn is rising…
Herald’s Greed (The Fables of Griffon #4)
‘Wealth cares for no one but itself.’ – Eruar, the Grey Seer
Given short reprieve from the Great Enemy, Griffon leads the King’s company in desperate search for new allies. As his path takes him to the Merchant realm of Geranodor, he learns of a sinister plot within King Jameson’s court that could destabilise the Alliance of Plains and tear apart even those closest to him.
Time is against the King and his companions. The shadows are moving in the dark of the city and none may survive their greed.
No matter what dangers may lurk without or within, one mantra holds above all else;
Geranodor First.
