1. Blowout: Fix the Nuclear Thermal Propulsion drive before there is a complete blowout!
There are no FTL drives, no wormholes, and no methods to bend space. There is only the solar system to inhabit on mankind’s goal to exit Earth.
It’s the depression all over again, only this time it’s happening in space. The Starlight human transport craft depends on skilled work-trade agreements to stay in business. But are the skills available to repair the NTP drive exhibiting possible blowout potential?

If not, the ship won’t make it to Saturn, stranding thousands of families in space where they will face almost certain death.
Jacob is too young to be on the crew. He’s taunted, mistrusted, and threatened. Yet, the catastrophe of a blowout is worse. He’s hired. But if the ship isn’t fixed in a few days, he’ll have to stay on, leaving his family short one wage-earner. And that could have devastating effects on them.

Jacob must struggle with his own self-worth and confidence as well as where his commitments lie now and into the future. Does he stay with the ship or go with his family. Either choice has adverse consequences that he’ll have to face alone.

2. Breakdown: A Shell World is about to collapse!
The first Shell World ever build was placed around the Pallas asteroid. It’s old, poorly maintained, and struggling to stay viable.
The former management team for Pallas has evacuated the world, leaving only a recently promoted underling in charge. The project is worse than explained during the bidding process and some subcontractors have already bowed out, leaving George Flanner and his family with untrained crews in many areas.

The Flannery family left its oldest son and structural engineer onboard the Starlight and won’t see him for over a year. Forced to hire a new graduate, they’re pitched into a dangerous and life-threatening reconstruction of the Pallas Shell World.
Challenged with a crumbling infrastructure, poorly trained subcontractors, and uninformed management, can they salvage enough skill and knowledge to rebuild the Pallas Shell World without causing harm to its inhabitants or its ecosystem?

3. Declaration: It’s big decision time!
After moving up in the ranks as part of the Starlight crew, Jacob Flannery is faced with new obstacles to overcome. As he learns to strengthen his resolve, boost his confidence, and nurture his self-awareness, his internal changes allow him to meet and fall in love with a young doctor onboard the Starlight.

Because his plan all along was to be reunited with his family, Jacob becomes torn. Now he must decide what his responsibilities are beyond his day-to-day needs. Is it selfish to think only of himself, honorable to follow his love interest, or loyal to go back with his family?

In the meantime, the family’s new hire, Owen, is thrust into a project on the Pallas Shell World that could not only ruin the Flannery family reputation but make it impossible for him to find future work. The Shell World gravity must be slowed, which can cause a chain of events that could cause unknown damages in other areas. Ultimately, the project must succeed even through the multiple hazards that are occurring.
And Jacob must answer the most important question of his life—what does he wan?
