Together with Jonathan’s ex-girlfriend, Chloe, Virginia and her allies attempt to track him down before his madness corrupts others. But can Chloe be trusted? And can their small group stop Jonathan once and for all? On the other side of London, Lachlan struggles to protect a weakening Daniel, but he is running out of time and options. And worst of all, their unexplained and still developing supernatural powers are growing stronger. Now, they threaten to kill.

After the Pulse decimated the population of England, a handful of survivors are left with no power, no infrastructure, and no way forward. Amid mounting despair, survivalist cult leader Jonathan’s following is growing. He vows to hunt down those who possess supernatural powers, declaring them unclean. Amira and Egbertyne struggle to convince an allied group of survivors to help them against Jonathan. At the same time, Lachlan is racing across London to warn them about Jonathan’s most dangerous secret before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Chloe, Jonathan’s ex-girlfriend, must make an impossible choice in order to gain the group’s trust, while Virginia is driven solely by the desire to avenge her brother.
