Master and apprentice barkeeps Garret Stockwell and Farian Daringsford don’t see eye to eye on most things. Master Stockwell’s only ambition is to keep the bar at the Dragonsbane Inn just north of respectable. Daringsford, however, is a self-entitled hustler, the likes of which only the vainglorious polis of Angelwood can produce.The barkeeps’ rivalry comes to a head over Trina UiConnall, a beautiful barmaid with a sharp tongue and the wit to match. And that’s when things get weird. Farian concocts a scheme involving a body-swapping device and the reality bending enchantments of a licentious etherhouse. But, as he and his master soon discover, when magic’s involved, there’s more at stake than the favor of a pretty barmaid. There’s also their reputations, their identities, and even reality itself.
