Overview: Sam Ferguson is the proud author of more than twenty fantasy novels. He launched his writing career with The Dragon’s Champion series, cracking the Top 100 for epic fantasy books. He has also written The Netherworld Gate Trilogy, The Sorceress of Aspenwood Trilogy, and The Haymaker Adventures to name just a few. Nearly all of his novels take place on Terramyr, a single world rife with varying races, religions, and conflicts that propel the world itself along through its timeline toward a final climax. So, while each novel or series can be savored on its own, the more a person reads, the more immersed they become with Terramyr, its gods, and the grand events that will ultimately prove the worth and decide the fate of its inhabitants. In his free time, Sam Ferguson is a competitive powerlifter. 1. Dragon’s Champion
In the middle of his arduous training in Kuldiga Academy, Erik Lokton discovers that he is destined to become more than a mere knight. His inexperienced eyes are forced open as demons and evil creatures that had previously only haunted his nightmares awaken, and old feuds boil to the surface once more. However, Erik lacks the discipline of a seasoned knight and despite his growing knowledge of the dark forces at work in his world his curiosity and headstrong ways get him into trouble. With the help of a master swordsman and a few friends, he must learn to balance his duty to family with his destiny and responsibility to his kingdom. Yet, not all friends are true, and old debts are coming due. Erik must choose between rescuing his family, and extinguishing the crimson tide of darkness that threatens to swallow the whole realm.
6. Return of the Dragon
In the final volume of The Dragon’s Champion series, Erik has found the Immortal Mystic, but his training is failing. Haunted by guilt and grief over a close friend who was murdered in front of him, he cannot focus his power. Meanwhile, Gilifan has found a way to resurrect Tu’luh and plunge the Middle Kingdom into subjugation with Nagar’s Secret. Lepkin finds himself stuck between a horde of invading orcs and the press of Gilifan’s forces. Worst of all, Erik may not be the champion about whom the prophecies were written. Meddling wizards have interfered with the very fabric of fate, altering prophecies and manipulating events. Because of this, Lepkin may have chosen the wrong champion to train, which now threatens to tip the balance heavily in Gilifan’s favor. Erik will have to not only succeed in his final training, which he was never meant to undergo, he will have to rise against the reborn Tu’luh, and hope that he and his allies are strong enough to defeat the beast.
