1. Assassin Born
The past is never done with us. With her telltale pale skin and sharp widow’s peak, Lilaci’s fate is sealed when the gods mark her as a future assassin. 2. Revenge Song
Sometimes the only thing a heart desires is revenge. Born to be an assassin, Lilaci was given an ancient magic to find and retrieve a young girl for the gods. The girl, Kera, is prophesized to resurrect the dragons, which the gods fear above all else. However, once Lilaci met Kera, the spell that kept Lilaci controlled was lifted, and she decided to save her instead.
Now deemed a traitor, Lilaci must find a way to protect Kera from the six gods, so she partnered with an old rival, Fewn. Together, they must find a way to bring back the dragons and fulfill Kera’s prophecy. But, in their lust to retrieve Kera, the gods send out one of their own, the sinister Witch Queen, to kill them and take Kera.
3. Serpentine Risen
Fate has a wicked heart. A dragon has returned to the skies, the first of its kind in centuries. Kera has fulfilled her prophecy as The Dragon’s Breath, by hatching the dragon Herradax. But one dragon won’t be able to keep them safe from the gods and their armies— they must find a way to get more dragons.
In a twist of fate, Lilaci and Kera are now joined by the commander of the Scaethers, Veranor. With his help they won their last battle, and Kera trusts him to help protect her, but will Lilaci? Veranor is the one that wiped Lilaci’s memory and ordered her family’s killing. Will this alliance that hangs from a thread last, or will it tear them apart?
4. War Dragons
Dragonfire is reborn. For the first time in centuries, dragons have returned to the sands. But fulfilling Kera’s prophecy hasn’t proved to be as fruitful as anticipated.
The dragons are more powerful than Lilaci ever imagined, and their wrath knows no bounds. Also, with the curse that Lilaci bears, there’s no telling how much longer she’ll be able to fight on. She’s already lost so much, and now grieving a new loss, she must find a way to press on- for those who need her to be strong, and for the retribution of her long-lost family.
There is only one way out of the never-ending cycle of death and despair- she must make the ones who caused this war to pay for the evil they’ve wrought- with their blood.
5. War’s End
