He has no recollection of his past, but he takes a chance and accepts the captain’s offer to abandon the forest.
Brought into civilization, Sephron is enrolled into an academy where it is soon discovered that he is mysteriously unique. He has soul vision – alma kite – the ability to see life. In Dresford Sephron becomes close friends with Ian, the son of a blacksmith, and together, they discover a secret; the town isn’t safe. There are signs of a devoid, a terrifying monster said to be extinct. Yet the monster is much, much closer than they realize.
2. Alma Kul: The Devoid: A desperate cry has come out of Denton, requesting Sephron’s aid. War is brewing, and to put an end to a lord’s dangerous greed, Sephron must infiltrate a hostile, desert city and rescue an unlikely prisoner. Soon, he finds himself trapped inside the walls of Galtor surrounded by cruel and violent soldiers. But he is alone in this venture, and the entire fate of Rhayadera rests in his hands.
However, this bloodshed is just a preface of the things to come. The anonymous creator of the horrific monsters, the devoid, is watching. He has been waiting patiently for five years. Sephron cannot escape fate; the creature dwelling inside him is continually growing stronger. The time is at hand for the master to come forth.
