Four Winds is the son of the chief of the Lakota, the nomads of the steppes. More by bravado than by true love, he takes the chief’s daughter of Pawnee, the beautiful moon-in-the-clouds. But it will perish, the victim of a heinous ploy set up by the man-woman and She-who-waves-as-a-snake,two circus artists with mysterious powers, which the Four Winds is apparently related.
The young and impetuous warrior will then appeal to Piautes to find it: the people on the decline is indeed the only one with the secret of time and may allow those who deserve to go back to provide a second chance .

With this new series, Igor Baranko we delve into the world of Indian tribes, often revisited but always clean to awaken in us a particular attention, as some nostalgia for a world where man lived in harmony with nature. Alas, the author of The Emperor-Ocean, who had also taken the series 17 with Jean-ExterminatorDionnet stone, do not convince entirely. If some characters are quite successful and able to generate genuine interest, the plot itself seems very thin after the first volume closed. We perceive with pain the author’s intentions, enough to be perplexed when it comes to the fate of various characters and the world in which they live ..

As for the drawing, it is somewhat uneven. Indeed, the characters often appear artificial, devoid of emotion, and wearing a fixed smile in all circumstances. The colors, well done but too often smooth and without nuance, also not fail to establish a genuine atmosphere. Only She-who-waves-as-a-snake is perfect in her role as priestess of a mysterious cult forgotten.

In short, as is the case for many series,This first volume is far from essential and can not be distinguished from current production.
