Overview: Rachael Duncan is a passionate follower of Christ. Her goal is to reach as many people as possible for the sake of Christ and His kingdom. She believes that God has gifted each of His children with different gifts to be used to strengthen the body of Christ and fulfill the Great Commission. (Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Cor. 12)
Rachael was blessed to be raised in a strong Christian home, and she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. Since then, she has determined to live her life in accordance to His Word and to share the love of Christ through the gift of writing.
Rachael has been passionate about writing since she was a small child. She especially loved writing plays and short stories. At the age of fourteen, she wrote her first play, which was performed as a dinner theatre production by a local school.
She has been actively involved in both women’s and children’s ministries for over a decade. Currently, she enjoys teaching a weekly girls’ Bible study, writing plays for a local homeschool group, and participating in local ministry outreaches for women and children.
Rachael currently resides in Texas with her husband and their first “child” – a playful rescue puppy named Riley! In addition to her writing, she is an enthusiastic “keeper of the home” and “helpmeet”, as well as being actively involved in ministering to the women and children God has placed in her life. (Titus 2:3-5; Gen. 2:20-23)

A Still Small Voice (#1)
Jerusalem, an ancient city, is a land cloaked in mystery, legend, and intrigue. Within the heart of this age-old city dwells a lovely young woman. Julia, as whimsical and restless as the great city itself, has a head full of dreams of adventure, and romance—and a vision clouded by a daring young man of striking countenance, flashing eyes, and broad shoulders.
Residing in a magnificent villa nestled comfortably within the imperial Upper City, Julia knows no other life than the plush, comfortable one she shares with her mother, her wealthy merchant father, and a vast array of household staff to meet her every need.
But her perfect world is sure to be shattered if she insists upon wedding the handsome guard who protects her father’s wares—a reckless man with whom she has fallen hopelessly in love.
A Song of Victory (#3)
With the stakes higher than ever, what choices will be made by Julia, Barabbas, Melina, and Malchus as the city is rocked to its very core?
Jerusalem is again plagued by turmoil as the controversial ministry of Jesus Christ reaches a crowning crescendo. Even after the preaching of John the Baptist is tragically cut short, the teachings of Jesus shake the entire province, forcing many to take sides. Some even against their own family.
Julia leans on God as her reckless husband, Barabbas, becomes more entrenched with the violent Zealots and their dangerous cause. After making a surprising discovery, she must trust her Savior unlike ever before.
Meanwhile, caught in the palace of a twisted ruler, Melina’s faith is tested by the schemes of a wicked woman. Witnessing appalling events that will forever change the course of history, she also wrestles with her feelings for Malchus, the handsome young man so hesitant to pledge his allegiance to the Messiah.
Trapped within an intricate web of political and religious intrigue, Julia, Barabbas, Melina, and Malchus must face the same fateful, possibly fatal question: Will they forsake all to follow Jesus Christ?
Finding the Way (#4)
Sheltered from the brooding turmoil sweeping through Jerusalem lives Mary—a savvy, independent businesswoman of the Upper city who is assured of her life’s course. But when the disciples of the controversial Rabbi appear at her doorstep requesting the use of her Upper Room for the Passover, she has little idea that God’s plan for her is about to unfold.
When Mary’s life comes crashing down, she is determined to walk in the will of God—despite fierce opposition from all sides. She throws herself into action as the fledgling church explodes into an unstoppable force that sets the world ablaze with the power of the gospel.
Meanwhile, Mary’s favored maidservant, Tabitha, agonizes over her inability to walk in the Holy Spirit. She must learn to entrust the pain of her past and an unknown future in the hands of an all-knowing God. But when a fiery Hellenist is hired to fill a vital position in the household, Tabitha’s resolve is tested.
Seeking the Truth (#5)
Experience the power and tension of the early church in this compelling tale of faith and conflict.
As Tabitha and Stephanos, still reveling in wedded bliss, navigate an explosive new message of the gospel that is dividing Jerusalem’s inhabitants—and forcing everyone to take sides—danger looms further when a fiery implication of repentance and salvation reignites the blazing wrath of religious leaders, including Saul of Tarsus.
Meanwhile, Candace is stunned by the shocking appearance of her long-lost sister, Kelila. And while Candace rejoices in the opportunity to share the love of Christ with Kelila, she can’t help but suspect that her sister is harboring troubling secrets.
Across Jerusalem, Mary faces her own challenges. Persevering against the enemies of the fledgling church—some of which are openly hostile while others are secretly hidden within Mary’s own ranks—Mary must remain relentless on her mission to cultivate the growing church and stand firm in the face of adversity and hovering threats of persecution and death.
Embracing the Life (#6)
Tabitha, a courageous young widow, sets out on a mission to share the message of Jesus Christ with her sceptical uncle, Joram, in the ancient seaport town of Joppa, when—despite Joram’s bitterness and sarcasm—her unwavering faith and infectious joy touch the lives of those around her.
In another corner of the world, newlyweds Kelila and Philip embrace their missionary calling as they arrive in the village of Sychar. But when Kelila’s dreams of a peaceful life clash with Philip’s sacred purpose, she’s led to a path of self-discovery and surrender, where she must learn to let go of her own desires and embrace the greater plan that God has in store for her.
In Jerusalem, Mary struggles with her beloved son as he begins to drift further and further from their faith. Concerned he is far more interested in the pursuit of fleeting pleasures than the way of everlasting life, Mary must put her faith in the Lord and pray for guidance.
