Overview: The SAS Survival Manual is written to where an average guy like my self can understand it and if need be apply it. (don’t get me wrong I’m no survivalist just a guy who likes to try lighting his camp fire by rubbing two sticks together). The illustrations are simple but more than adequate. Where the potatoes portion of the book seems to do a good job touching on a lot of subjects that could have whole volumes written about them. For Example- mushrooms, the book gives you enough information to keep you safe but is by no means a guide to hunting wild mushrooms. The same holds true for a lot of the different sub categories like trapping, or self defense.
