When writing my stories, I never forget this mission statement. I always fall in love with my heroes and heroines, and I always enjoy heart-stopping adventures.
The spark for this series started with my first novel, a time travel, in which my heroine traveled to 15th century England, just as the War of the Roses was simmering into conflicts.
I visited that century with my protagonist, and couldn’t leave. It’s chock-full of fascinating characters, royalty and nobility.
My novels have won national and international awards, and each story is filled with love, honor and much adventure. The stories are character-connected, but can be read in any order.

Book 1 – Tabor’s Trinket
Love proves perilous in this "Pretty Woman/Pride and Prejudice" historical romance tale set in 15th century England.
Sold as a slave in Romania for seven pounds and three solidi, the Gypsy girl, Sharai, escapes a slave ship infected with the plague. As an adult, she performs her silky, exotic dances to earn enough to sustain herself and the toddling orphan girl she adopted. She yearns for relief from the grinding poverty, and a secure home. Having been violated by a nobleman posing as her hero, she wants naught of any other man of title, and also scorns the dubious Gypsy king who pursues her. In a tent at the bustling autumn fair in Winchester, she meets the dashing Lord Tabor, and her resolve to avoid all noblemen softens.

The story, book one in the four-volume Coin Forest series, is set in a unique period in history when Gypsies were welcomed, their travels even financed by the nobility in the countries in which they traveled. Dubbed the Gypsy social honeymoon period, it lasted for just a few decades as the Gypsies ventured into Western Europe. Growing mistrust, a waning interest in pilgrimages and increasing incidents of thievery and racial/culture clashes combined to end the honeymoon. The incidents in Tabor’s Trinket occur as the honeymoon begins to sour.
Book 2 – Emerald Silk
Autumn, 1448 at England’s Applewood horse fair in Wessex. The midnight peace is shattered when monastic knights invade the camp to reclaim a treasured chalice stolen by a Gypsy. The attack sets in motion a string of deadly pursuits, a mystery murder, and a political crisis involving the most prominent bishop in England.
In the center of the chaos, the beautiful half-Gypsy, Kadriya, yearns for true love. Raised by English nobility, she has passed the threshold of womanhood. Spurned for her mixed blood, she is now twenty and longs for acceptance. With one foot planted firmly in each of her ethnic shorelines, Kadriya struggles to find her place in the world. Book 3 – Traitor’s Moon
Harvest Festival, 1459 – On a moonless night, the half-Gypsy Stephen Ellingham accidentally kills Lord Faierfield. With her father not yet buried, Nicole Miles marries the man who killed him–without the king’s blessing and under the shadow of her family’s curse. Nicole doesn’t care whether her new husband believes the rumors that her womb is cursed, but Stephen has vowed to protect her younger brother, Alex. Rendered deaf when his mother boxed his ears, Alex has tried diversions over the years to keep people from realizing he’s deaf. His efforts have backfired, though, and people believe he’s mad, unfit to inherit his title or hold claim to the Faierfield lands. He must protect Alex from their ambitious uncle, who plans to kill the young boy to claim the family’s holdings.

Book 4 – Crimson Secret
Master bridge builder Lord Penry is a traitor, committed to destroying Joya’s beloved queen so York can rule. Joya, like her family, is deeply committed to keeping King Henry VI on the throne.
