Closed In Chains (The Chains Trilogy #1) – When Tain wakes up in a primitive slave market on the planet Oliven, she knows that things on her anthropological research trip to this primitive world have gone terribly amiss. She and her partner, Ennie, should have been perfectly safe disguised as upper class women, but Ennie, hired only because of her "connections" to the director of Tain’s department, broke every rule in the book and put them in grave danger.
Once they’re sold as slaves, they’re as good as lost and Tain knows it. Slaves on Oliven are supposed to be completely obedient, sexually and otherwise — and when they’re not, they’re switched and spanked soundly. She’d been sent to Oliven to help stop slavery in the galaxy and now she’s in terrible danger of becoming one forever. That is, until Jake Killen strolls through the slave market.
Tain knows Jake well, all too well. And then he buys her…
Chains Released (The Chains Trilogy #2) – Part Two of the Chained Trilogy.
Is turnabout fair play? On Oliven, although slaves are usually women, men can be made slaves as well under certain circumstances. And when Jake and Tandro fall prey to slavers, it’s up to Tain and Ennie to save them.
But the only reason that Tain and Ennie are free are due to some other escaped female slaves who hate Oliven’s men so much that they won’t accept Tain’s desire to free Jake and Tandro. So the men must be kept as slaves a bit longer — and they find out what being kept as a slave really means. ..
Finally, all four of the agents escape… but to what? Their commitment to end slavery on Oliven is unshakeable, but they discover that others might not feel the same way. And unwittingly the four become tied up in a political maelstrom that can have no happy ending for anyone
In Chains Again (The Chains Trilogy #3) – Finally having obtained his release, Jake looks for Tain. He realizes she’s right about many things, but before he can tell her, he discovers she’s gone from Oliven, and he has no clue to where.
He’s disturbed by what he feels, but even more disturbing rumors begin to surface. The ‘slave drug,’ used supposedly only on Oliven, has surfaced – and on much more ‘modern’ planets. Jake must put his feels from Tain aside to follow this serious development.
But Tain is already on it – and as both agents try to unravel the mystery, they also move closer to finding each other again – and closer to a final… What? Confrontation? Or meeting of minds?
