Overview: Paul C Middleton – I write fiction from my heart. I love to explore the trials and joys of being an outsider. Whether I am writing fantasy or science fiction, I tend to write about those that do not fit into square holes and explore how they interact with society and their world. My intention is not to write books that fit cleanly into a single or pair of genres. Thus I write in many. While each series has a different focus genre, from magical realism, science fiction, metaphysical fiction to military fiction, they spread out from there. As my interests grow and my readers inspire me to explore more areas of my own and others’ hearts and minds, this list may expand. I have a somewhat unique view of mythology. This allows me to build in twists and altered versions of standard figures to my interpretations of any mythos. I do this both to surprise my readers and to avoid any dreaded canyon of boredom. I never want readers to be bored when reading my stories, nor do I want to be bored writing them.
I appreciate all of my readers and value their feedback and input. I hope you enjoy my stories and will regard them as an outstretched hand of friendship from me.
Michael Anderle (1967-Hopefully a long time from NOW) was born in Houston, Tx. A very curious child, he got into trouble – a lot. What to do with an inquisitive mind when he was grounded? Read! That hasn’t changed since he was in elementary school. The Kindle was developed with him in mind. In the first 20 years, he mostly read Science Fiction and Fantasy. In the last 10 years he has enjoyed Urban Fantasy and Military Fiction. Using these influences, he has developed The Kurtherian Gambit. A series dedicated to watching how one genetically modified person with an incredible team behind her might be able to change the future, if she can survive along the way.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy

1. Evacuation
The Russian Mercenary known as Boris has always been a conundrum for governments the world over. His visage never changes, his capabilities never understood.

The Russian government gets word he has been killed on a mercenary mission in America, allowing agents to come in and attack the villages Boris has been protecting. Using a fanatical military sub-group in the Russian military, the atrocities start. The only problem? Boris isn’t dead, and now he has help. Boris won’t allow his people to go unprotected, and now the Queen Bitch herself has accepted his oath of fealty.

Russia doesn’t have a clue what they have started when this Bear comes back from the Dead.

2. Retaliation
Thinking that Boris was dead – a mistake. Not making sure was a bigger one. They attacked his town – HUGE mistake.
He knows who was responsible – for the attack, for the destruction, for the deaths. What comes next is justice, is RETALIATION!
A third of his people have chosen to fight at his side. They must smash the force sent to capture those who chose to leave and serve his Czarina elsewhere. Only then can his forces deal with those that betrayed them.
His team is not the dream team, but a nightmare for his enemies. This old Werebear has allies – Werewolf, disavowed Military Intelligence officer, former Australian SAS trooper – not to mention the Queen Bitch. They have skills that few others have. But will that be enough to take down his foes? Are the secret UnknownWorld enemies enough to kill the Ghost Bear?
