Overview: V.T. Hoang did what all good, Vietnamese sons do and went to school to be a doctor, studying pre-med until he realized that he would rather do anything else, and he decided instead to take his biochemistry knowledge to the lab rather than medicine. That was expensive, though, so he was an editor of genre fiction for several years in order to pay the bills. Now, he writes his own stories.
