Overview:Leroy Arnold Yerxa was born on August 11, 1915 in Old Town, Penobscot, Maine; and is a direct descendant of the Dutch Jurcksen family who came to New Brunswick, Maine as part of the United Empire Loyalists immigration.
Yerxa was a prolific writer for the pulp magazines; particularly the Ziff-Davis productions, Amazing Stories and Fantastic Adventures. He published under his own name and under several pseudonyms.
Leroy Yerxa died on February 28, 1946 in Lansing, Michigan. He was survived by his wife, Francis.
