Overview: In reality, I am just a hard working regular person. I get up in the morning, put my pants on one leg at a time, and then I trudge off to my job just like the rest of the world. Work, work, work, and then head on home. When I get in front of my computer is when I can let my imagination free, and escape into my writing.
Genre: Sci-Fi Romance
Book #1: Cali & Drake
Cali– Her scheming mother can’t be allowed to succeed in forcing her to partner with someone she doesn’t want. One problem is the man her mother has picked out for her already put in the request to partner with her friend, Diandra. Another sticking point is that she thinks of Vathral as a friend, there are zero romantic feelings between them. On a planet like Cestori, where decisions are based on logical reasoning, her arguments of love and desire fall on deaf ears. So, there is only one thing for an independent minded, romantic like Calinae Edal to do. Steal a spacecraft and run beyond her mother’s reach of course. Leaving her lovebird friends time to do the commitment ceremony and foil her mother’s plans. Aicen Edal might be the most powerful woman on their planet, but she isn’t the most powerful woman in the universe. How could so simple a plan go wrong?
Drake – Being discovered in the stasis pod and woken on a strange ship isn’t the most unusual thing that’s happened to him lately. The instant attraction he feels for the fair-haired beauty standing over him is. His people are simple and so is their code. Honesty and honor in all things. Going against the code to protect his secrets isn’t easily accomplished. However, there are too many things at stake to let himself get close to an off-worlder, much less Calinae Edal. He’s heard things about her! Why is his instinct telling him there is more going on and that Cali isn’t remotely dangerous? Unless you count to his libido.
All that stands between Cali and Drake’s happy ending are lies, political scheming, betrayal, her planet and their issues, his planet and their secrets, family, friends, and the ever present “Murphy’s law”.
Book #2: Vareen & Mica
This is a Science Fiction Romance in which an illogical reaction to Mica causes Vareen to swerve into unknown territory. She scoffs at the notion of love at first sight, if only her heart would agree with her.
Vareen– As an orphan living as a ward of the state for her whole life, Vareen Nas hasn’t made friends easily. Then, by a fluke of circumstance, she befriends Calinae Edal. Cali happens to be the daughter of the most powerful woman on the planet. Instead of being happy at the opportunity for new friends, Vareen isn’t sure that her luck has changed for the better. Reluctantly she makes the decision to allow Cali and her existing group of friends into her life. Thus, altering the course of future events in a way Vareen couldn’t possibly have foreseen. The effervescent blonde has a way of getting into trouble and dragging her friends with her. Vareen reasons that this is something that her friend will surely grow out of as she matures. Vareen couldn’t have been more mistaken in that belief. In fact, the troubles seem to grow in scale. Like in their latest “adventure”. Fleeing Cestori, their home world, by hijacking a newly commissioned spacecraft and hiding in the Buffer Zone. Being a neutral area between inhabited worlds, Vareen hopes that exploring will give them time to decide what to do about Cali’s problem with her matchmaking mother. Little did Vareen know that her life was about to take another turn. Their spaceship, The Reliant, answers a distress call and finds stasis pods with gorgeous alien men inside. The adventures and dangers she and her friends are about to face just went up a notch.
Mica– One of the males in the stasis pods found by The Reliant, an alien craft filled with alien people, Mica and his friends understandably over-react when they are woken. How was he supposed to know that his friend Drake had already been found days before and that they weren’t in any danger? All he knows is that there are armed strangers in the room and that is unacceptable. Jumping off the medical bed he is about to rampage around the room with his friends when something…or to be more precise…someone stops him. The black haired, purple-eyed, hell-cat standing between him and the mouthy blonde in fact. There is something about her that he recognizes as his. He had always been told that there was no mistaking the person meant to be your mate. He just hadn’t believed the old wives tale. Standing flummoxed by Vareen Nas, he is an instant convert. Now he just has to get her to agree to be his. Not an easy task considering her independent nature, her duty to The Reliant, and her stubborn determination to deny that she feels anything for him. Not that she can deny her response to his touch, that is something she is willing to explore. He just can’t get past her refusal to commit to something deeper. Before he can work on making Vareen agree to join him on Titus, she is forced to make a difficult choice. Leave The Reliant to return to Cestori without her, or make sure the ship and crew get home safely. Even if it means saying good-bye to each other. Against his better judgment, Mica lets Vareen go with the knowledge that he will be seeing her again sooner rather than later.
For Vareen and Mica, the road to happiness is pitted and wrought with detours. Vareen just wished it wasn’t a spaghetti bowl of twists and turns. The only thing making it worth the whole hassle is the realization that she needs to be with Mica. For his part, Mica never had a second of doubt that Vareen was meant to be his.
