Overview: I am a Canadian Fantasy fiction writer living in Alberta with my common-law spouse of 22 years. I write primarily urban fantasy, alternate world fantasy and sword & sorcery. I have a Masters in Philosophy because I loved having student loan debt but few job opportunities simultaneously. I write fantasy because I read it avidly and have since I was a kid. I think likely because of escapism. I mean, this reality? Humrph. A reality with dragons and elves? Rather escape from this one and delve into that one. The only difference now is that I create that reality, spend hours in it and prefer it. I have a cat named Charlie or Chucky or Chunky Monkey. He’s a wee bit overweight. Just a wee bit. We live in the frigid tundra of Canada. We are a polite people because otherwise, the snow and cold weather for 9 months might drive us into a snow rage. We tried to escape once but our tongues froze to a pole and that was that we were stuck there all winter.

1. Lost Magic
Fifty years ago the Alignment between our universe and the Realm started. With it, an influx of Universal Energy which powered up the Earth’s ley lines and people who are sensitive to it became wizards, witches, or psychics. When the Alignment hit translucent spirit entities also crossed over creating all sorts of creatures. However, hidden in society also exists sorcerers who exist whether our world is in an Alignment or not.
Irelynne is a sorcerer monitoring the city of Coldbrooke. Placed to watch wizards and for other entities that may be a negative influence. She agrees to help a vampire help with the murder cases of a few witches and one wizard. She comes across a crime she had not expected while trying to find the murderer and the method of death. A problem that her clan could eradicate by slaughtering everyone involved if she cannot find a way to resolve the situation.
2. The Old Gods

Irelynne is the only sorcerer in the city of Coldbrooke. She agrees to help save the local vampire hive from a deadly curse. If you kill the hive Master vampire the hive is decimated. Someone knows it and is aiming the curse directly at the Master. Ire soon discovers those witches casting the curse are not willing participants. Who is hiding their dirty work behind the magic of witches? And why? Does it have something to do with the recent attacks from Odin’s Army, a preternatural human hate group in Coldbrooke? Meanwhile, her own power grows and she finds out new secrets about herself and her people. Secrets that are drawing attention and creatures to her.
