The Agents for Good series by Guy Stanton III (Book 1~6)
Requirements: ePUB reader, 3.28mb
Overview: I’m a dreamer, a poet, a lover, a husband, a father, and a man of God. I’m inspired by what I’ve seen and what I’ve read, but what I create with my words is where I dream. I pray for inspiration, and I enjoy what I have written just as I hope that others will as well. I’m a quiet man on the outside, but writing has become the playground of my soul to express itself in the grandeur of the created worlds and tales that I have been fortunate enough to dream of.
Genre: Science Fiction, Action & Adventure
Agent with a History (Book 1)
It’s been one long day for Lisa and her headache is living proof of it. Most of it she blamed on the full moon outside. Things always got crazy this time of the month, but this month was exceptional. She needed sleep bad and only hoped the nightmares that haunted her would leave her alone for at least one night. They don’t. She wakes up as usual screaming only to find out that her nightmare has just begun, because she’s not alone in her room.
One man has been gruesomely tortured to death in a ritualistic killing. An entire police precinct has been reconstructed down to the smallest detail in an abandoned warehouse and a mysterious stranger known only as Flint seems to be the cause of it all. It’s a case that is fast turning into one big headache for Lisa Tauranto a detective for the NYPD, but it gets much worse when her past, that she’s tried so hard to bury, rises up to engulf her in its golden grip once again. Lisa is ripped from the existence that she so pain stakingly built for herself into a mixed up world of intrigue, where nothing is as it seems. It’s a fight to survive and to protect what she is sworn to, but will love conquer all? Will she betray her oath to be happy? Does she even have a choice anymore or does a several thousand year old mystery hold enough weight in treasure to drag her down with it? Everyone wants her dead, everyone that is but for one man who is the cause of all her upheaval in the first place. He’s an agent working for someone, but she doesn’t know who. She only hopes he’s as good as his kisses make her believe him to be.
Agent for a Cause (Book 2)
She was amazing and he loved to touch her with his eyes, but that was as far as their relationship could ever go, because if she ever learned of what a cold blooded killer he was she would hate him.
Tyre had one goal in life, which could be best summed up in the statement that he needed to be in control. Control was peace. Without control there was nothing but chaos. He’d been in chaos before and it was far better to be on the other side. The side for good. He didn’t just kill people for hire anymore. He killed those who needed killing. Perhaps somewhat hard to justify for some, but to him it made sense. To be a killer, as he was though, meant to also be alone, for who would want to befriend a killer let alone be his lover. Such a relationship would mean commitment. It would mean a loss of control. It would mean to willingly expose oneself to emotions better left chained away in the recesses of his shattered mind. Sometimes you don’t have a choice to choose whether to become involved or not though. When the girl you wish you could have is wanted dead along with her son what choice does he have, but to step into the equation and start killing to protect someone worth fighting for, even dying for. Something like that is worth losing control for.
Agent out of Time (Book 3)
Caleb has regrets. The way his granddaughter has turned out being one of his biggest. She’s no good, but can she change? Will the Russians allow her to or will she die like so many already have in the cold?
Caleb Longtree is retired and ready for life to just hurry up and end so he can be at peace safely away from the bitterness of his past. But life takes a turn when his rebel child granddaughter comes home for the summer and actually seems to want to change. Change that is, if he’ll agree to give her all his money in his will. It’s a small price to pay to see her settled down, but young love can often become tumultuous. Would be lovers are separated by differences, even as enemies from the past lurk in the background waiting to destroy. There is a world of violence unseen by the masses. A place where torture is common, in a land that is very cold. Can a grandfather’s love reach across an ocean and scale a harsh landscape to keep a promise given to his long dead son or is he just too old and out of the game of being an agent for good?
Agent in the Dark (Book 4)
The world is under attack. An unseen entity has risen from the debris of ancient Babel to haunt the world of today. The Code rules all with a technological grip of power. Can it be broken or is the world doomed to the slavery and oppression of one unreasoning thought?
John Kilroy just wants to be left alone on the island that he was exiled to by the Agency for Good. Back in the real world he’s looked at as a monster guilty of the worst of crimes. Doesn’t matter anymore anyway, as the world is safe from his anger, as long as he stays on his island. But what he doesn’t know is that the world in his absence has changed radically. Nations have fallen and a new world order, the Code, has risen to take control over all who oppose them. The Code controls all communication, all utilities, all commerce, in short everything that made the world a vastly different mixture of identities. The Code seeks to destroy all thought other than what is to be found in its own binary thought and that of the will of its masters, who trace back to the first uprising of man to install universal thought and language, The Tower of Babel. To that end the Code will stop at nothing to achieve its manifest destiny of universal oneness. No atrocity is too great to be done to achieve its objective. Many atrocities have already been committed against humanity. Suddenly John once viewed, as an unreasoning vicious brute is the only one suited for the task of surviving a trip through hell to find the one person left on the planet, who stands the best chance at breaking the Code. John couldn’t care less about the world. It rejected him so he rejects it, but the mission if he chooses to accept it, does offer him what he desires most in life. All he has to do is save her first.
Agent on the Run (Book 5)
Kicked out! The agency is done with him all because of something beyond his control. Now what?
Utah had a job and then he didn’t, but he actually still did. He just couldn’t tell anyone about it. Why did he have to be tasked with something so important? He wasn’t qualified for it, but the Agency said that he was. Didn’t matter he had the job. All he had to do was save the Agency for Good or something close to it and he had to do it alone. The problem was that he couldn’t. It’s been said that behind every great man there’s a great woman and such is the case for Utah. He finds a girl with issues that has a heart of gold and a killer right hook. The mission he’s been tasked with unfolds and everything is not what it seems. The fight to save the Agency from an unseen threat becomes more of an effort to save humanity than the simple assignment guidelines that he was given, but the important thing is to remain fluid and flow with the situation as it gets worse and worse.
Agent finds a Warrior (Book 6)
He’d saved her. He wanted her. He resisted her. He came to love her. Could it really be true that he no longer had to charter his journey alone through time?
The Agency for Good has been closed down and Maria is without a job and without a purpose. Adrift in life’s journey once again, until she is presented with a choice that will require her to surrender everything. Would it not be better to go on alone than be at the mercy of a man stretched out beyond natural time? It’s a hard choice, because of her past and the mystery’s it holds but what is life without a God given purpose? She’s survived through too much to throw it all away now. The choice she makes becomes her destiny. There is a world of the spirit realm that she never knew existed and her guide into it is a man born over three thousand years before that has never ceased from being faithful to his calling or from doing good.
