Overview: Marc James published his first book in October, 2014. "To Kill a President" was written out of a general fascination regarding the assassination of John F Kennedy. It had originally been intended as a one off book, but the characters created had their own story to tell.
"A Year to Forget" is the sequel to the first book and it centres around the same characters, five years after the initial story. "The Accidental Time Travellers" series will consist of five novels.
Marc also has a second series in the pipeline, the working title for the series is "The Life And Times of Max Mercury"

1. To Kill a President by Marc James
When James Faraday decides to ask his girlfriend Jane to marry him, disaster strikes. Jane suddenly disappears leaving Faraday a distraught and broken man. After attempting to take his own life, he receives a visit from two peculiar men who seem to know something regarding Jane’s whereabouts.
Following the men’s advice, he returns to the scene of Jane’s disappearance in order to follow a bright light he had seen in his dreams and on the day of her disappearance. Once he has followed the light he is transported through space and time to November 1963 in Dallas, Texas.
Once Faraday has been reunited with Jane he learns more about the two men that came to visit him, he learns that they too had followed the light that had brought Faraday and Jane to Dallas. David Lewis is a Forensic Pathologist working at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Bobby Stinson is an attorney with ties to Meyer Lansky and the Mafia.
Bobby is brought into the plot to kill President Kennedy which leads the four accidental time travelers into the most dangerous adventure of their lives. Each character battles not only the conspirators but their inner demons in an attempt to stop the assassination.
Based on actual events, To Kill a President features key witnesses to the assassination that have since become infamous including the Umbrella Man, the Babushka Lady and the Three Tramps. As they dig deeper into the conspiracy they also meet key historical figures including J Edgar Hoover, Bobby Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald.
With danger around every corner and with the lives of loved ones at stake they struggle to uncover the truth and attempt to change the course of history.
2. A Year to Forget
The second novel in the Accidental Time Travellers series, takes place five years after the events of the first novel, To Kill a President.
Following a successful re-election campaign, Robert Kennedy faces a force more powerful than the Presidency.
The book begins on Christmas Eve 1968, the same night that Apollo 8 orbits the Moon on live TV.
What should be a moment of victory for the President, turns in to a moment of despair when Apollo 8 explodes in front of the entire world.
So begins a year of turmoil for the Kennedy administration, as unknown forces ally with old enemies in an attempt to destroy the current regime.
Our time travellers are in more danger than they can begin to imagine, and their loyalty to one another and to the President is called into question, when it transpires that the enemy can offer them something that the President cannot.
A Year to Forget, features famous historical figures including Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, J Edgar Hoover, Richard Nixon, Howard Hughes, Teddy Kennedy, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
It covers actual events including the Moon landing, the Chappaquiddick incident and the murder of Fred Hampton.
3.What James Did
The concluding book, in the Accidental Time Traveller’s Trilogy, What James Did.
The book begins where the second book, A Year to Forget left off.
The story follows James Faraday as he comes to realise the error of his ways. He discovers that Abaddon had not been entirely honest with him, regarding his intentions for America and Faraday’s friends.
Faraday must unite with unlikely allies, defeat unbeatable enemies, and risk the lives of himself, and those around him in an attempt to make things right.
As with the first two books in the series, What James Did features many historical characters including: Adolf Hitler, John F. Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Ethel Kennedy, Josef Mengele, Wernher Von Braun, Guy Fawkes, Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker.
