Overview: The lights are out, the police, and government are gone. The day time world is controlled by gangs of thugs, and cannibals. They take whoever they can find from the deserted streets of a lawless world. If that wasn’t bad enough, the night is controlled by monsters. They come out of the drains, and sewers of the city, and feed on whatever they can capture, and kill. The survivors of the Eden compound continue to make their way through this world. Finding Groups of people trying desperately to hang on to the small territories they scratch a life out in. In book two we meet a whole new group of people that run their strong hold much differently than the democratically run Eden community. Will they accept these new intruders, or pray upon them like everyone else.
