Overview:I’m a regular guy from St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
I consider myself an Objectivist of the Ayn Rand school and that idealogy pervades my novels although they are set in a Sword and Sorcery realm.
I also am a moderate Libertarian in that I do think government needs to a play a role in society but that it should be limited in nature.
I like spending time writing, being with friends and family, and generally am a quiet, laid back person.

The Staff of Sakatha
Jon Gray arrives in a foreign land in search of both an ancient relic from the era of the Old Empire and an alliance with the fierce Freeriders who patrol the plains. The young son of the enigmatic Gray Lord encounters dark forces working to wrest the terrible Staff of Sakatha from its hidden location deep inside the Mountains of the Orc.
Sakatha, the terrible King of Dragon Children, once wielded the ancient staff and now his descendants hope to regain its power and resurrect their leader. The Queen of the Dead hopes to use the staff to animate the corpse of Sakatha and increase her own power, while the Freeriders find themselves caught in the middle of the manipulations.
Jon encounters the graybeard Sir Germanius who wants nothing more than to die a glorious death, Sorus the young brewer hoping to become a knight, fat Odellius relegated to the stone working guild until he can lose weight, the dark shadow Tenebrous, and eventually the powerful First Rider himself.
Their quest takes them deep into the darkling realm where they battle children of the dragon and learn secrets of ages past. In the end the fate of the Staff of Sakatha hangs in the balance as Jon and his friends try to wrest it from its hidden tomb.
The Staff of Naught
Tanner Wilmer is a simple merchant who works the trade route along the Old Mountain Road that runs along the Thilnog Mountains and separates the City of Spiders from the Hobgoblin lands beyond. When Tanner’s energetic son notes skeletons by the hundreds plunging into the sea near an old shipwreck it sets in motion a series of events that brings the powerful High Priest of the City in the Sand to the region. Seymour the Bright, and his seemingly all powerful Amulet of Ras, race towards Doria along with the stoic warrior Oliver to recover an ancient relic before Tanner and his allies can get it first. The crafty mayor of Iv’s Folly knows that something of great importance lies in that shipwreck and enlists Tanner and his family along with the town witch, a pair of young urchins, his beautiful half-elf mistress, and the swordsman Shamki to find out exactly what lies below. Finding the terrible Staff of Naught only begins the quest as once the item is revealed to the world more agents quickly scramble to get ahold of the terrible relic of the Old Empire. Everyone has their own plans for the staff and Tanner and his friends quickly find themselves in a far more dangerous situation than they ever imagined. Their journey takes them to the secretive iron forge of Edorin Firefist high in the Thilnog Mountains and beyond as they must decide whether to use the energy of the staff or try and destroy the thing before someone more powerful takes it from them.
